Using Quick Fix to update a reference data table
Duco's Quick fix functionality allows you to add entries to a reference data table directly from the results screen for a process.
This can be leveraged as a swift and convenient way to populate incomplete tables.
How to use the feature:
- Click on the ID of an individual exception, which which will open the full-screen view for that item. The Quick fix button will show against any breaking field that is leveraging an existing equivalence table, where that value is not found to be already present in the table.
- Select the Quick fix button to reveal a drop-down listing the associated reference table, with a checkbox that allows you to add the new value to the table.
- Values that are added using Quick fix will then be treated as equivalent in the subsequent run of the process.
Items have to be quick fixed individually, this is not something that can be done as a bulk action.
Note: Quick Fix will not be suitable functionality for all governance models. As such you should be aware that users will require Operator rights to the reference table for this functionality to be enabled (without it the drop-down will be greyed out).
