Connected processes is an additional module available within Duco - see the Duco Connected Processes Overview section of the documentation for more detail. If you are interested in having this feature enabled, please contact your account team.
Setting up a Connected Process
To configure this feature select Connected processes from the Settings menu of the process that will become your parent reconciliation.
Now click on Connect Process and choose the first of the child processes you are looking to connect with.
You will then be invited to select your Connected Fields and Connected Conditions between the parent and child rec.
+ Connected Fields
Connected fields represent a pairing of fields between a parent and one or more child processes. This connection is used to determine whether Partial matches or Unmatched items from a child rec relate to breaks present in the parent process.
As well as providing a holistic visual reference, the connection also allows the user to drill-down to the underlying breaks within the child process/es.
+ Connected Conditions
Conditions determine when connected fields are activated for break comparison across connected processes. A condition is established by selecting a pairing of fields from the parent and child process that will hold the same values, ie. Trade Date, Currency, Account, etc. When these paired fields hold matching values, the connected fields will display breaks from a child rec against the breaks in the parent reconciliation.
For example, if an Account field is used as a condition, and Notional is a connected field, a break in a child process with the Account value 12345 would only be associated with a break in the parent process where the Account value was identical, ie. 12345. Where the Account field matched, the break in the Notional field for the child process will show against the break for Notional in the parent process.
*This pair of fields can only be determined as equal in value if they are natural matches or have been transformed using NRL rules. These cannot be determined of equal value via an equivalence rule.

Disconnecting a Connected Process
To remove the links between a given parent and child process, go to the Connected Processes screen via the Settings menu on the parent process. Then from here tick the relevant child process and then click Disconnect process.
