It is possible to copy the settings of an existing process. This enables a user to create a new process starting with a copy of an existing process rather than having to create a new process from scratch.
This is useful, for example, when you want to set up a new process that is similar to an existing one. Now you can just create a copy of the existing process and then change the configuration of the new process. Note that "Copy process settings" does exactly that: It copies the settings of a process, i.e., input format configuration, the matching rules, etc. It does not copy any of the data or of the match results from the existing process.
From a process:
- Click on Settings and then on General
- Click on Copy process settings
- Enter a name, short code and description for the new process.
The new process is now ready. You can change the configuration and submit new data.
