Data prep gets your data into a shape you can trust before you run any further controls. It ingests data from multiple sources in various shapes, applies mappings and normalisation, and produces a single, consistent output data set, with no code and no separate ETL tools.
You decide how your data should look using simple, no-code mappings and rules. Data prep applies them to every data submission, so the processes that use your data always receive data you can trust.
The data prep process follows a simple flow:
- Bring in your data: submit files manually or automatically via SFTP or API, from spreadsheets and delimited files to industry-standard formats. With Adaptive Intelligent Document Processing (AIDP), you can also use data extracted from unstructured documents such as PDFs and emails.
- Clean and standardise: map every source to one consistent layout, then filter, transform and enrich your data.
- Deliver a consistent data set: data prep automatically captures a stable snapshot of your data at the right moment and passes it to the processes that use it. You can use the data in reconciliations, populate reference data tables or report on it.
Save time building processes with Duco’s agentic workspace - describe what you want, and agents select the rule-based tools and build the data prep process for you.
Agents can also review your existing processes, spot drifts and propose fixes. The rules always do the processing, and you validate every change before it’s applied. See the Agentic Workspace to learn more.
The articles in this section explain, in detail, the features available to configure data prep processes, manage submissions, and work through common use cases, including preparing data for your cash processes. You’ll also find answers to frequently asked questions.
To learn how to use your data prep output in a reconciliation, see the Building a Process section.
