When creating a new Generic two-sided process with no masked fields, you will now be directed to the new process Setup Wizard. This wizard will guide you to complete the initial configuration steps.
Note: we are rolling out this feature gradually to our clients. Contact your Duco Customer Success representative to learn more.
After entering basic information such as process name, process short code and data labels you will be directed to the step 2 of the wizard to provide more information about your data inputs.
Enter the name of the inputs and select file formats. If your input is a generic file, upload a file sample for Duco to analyse the exact format and to extract field details automatically.
Note: there’s a limit to the size of sample files you upload - 2MB for Excel files and 1000 MB for others. However, there is no limit for file size when the process setup is complete.
If both inputs are generic files, Duco Alpha will attempt to predict match fields for you using the sample data you have uploaded. The prediction will take not more than 60 seconds. When ready, the summary screen will be shown with the following:
- Number of fields detected from the two inputs
- Number of match fields predicted by Duco Alpha
- Total number of fields not included in the predict match fields
You can use the links and buttons to edit data input fields, check and update match fields, go to Settings Overview, or trigger your first run using predicted match fields and the sample files you uploaded.
Or from step 2, you can opt to skip predictions and proceed to configuring the match fields manually.
On occasions where Duco Alpha cannot make any predictions, you may want to proceed with configuration manually, or upload another sample file to try again.
Bulk delete match fields
Clients who have utilised the match field prediction by Duco Alpha have seen significant time savings when configuring new reconciliation processes. Occasionally, you may find that the match fields predicted by Duco Alpha are not suitable, for example in cases when you need to apply filter rules. You can quickly remove the predicted match fields in the UI.
When you have chosen to configure the fields manually, but still want to see what Duco Alpha can predict for you, you can enter the Setup Wizard again. Make sure you have not done any run yet, and you do not have any existing match fields (you may manually delete them).
