By looking at the dashboard, a user can access the latest run results for the matching processes which they have access to.
However, some users also prefer email notification of when a process has run. This can be set up in Duco from the Notifications screen.
To access the Notifications screen
- Click on Settings → notifications
Run notifications are disabled for a newly created process. A user needs to enable notifications explicitly.
- Click on "On", to enable notifications.
- Enter existing Groups, Users, and/or external email addresses for the people that are interested in receiving a notification.
Groups: You can enter existing user groups, but you may need to create a new group of users for notification purposes.
Users: You can also list individual users, that do not belong to a group.
Email addresses: You may need to notify someone that does not have a Duco account. You can do so by entering their email address. Note that the email domain has to be in the email domain whitelist.
A notification email looks as follows:
Email notification for workflow actions
Some users involved in exception workflow may not login to Duco everyday, and getting their attention to work on the investigation can be time consuming. To proactively notify these users, you can now choose to have Duco to send them email notifications when:
- an exception is newly assigned to them,
- a new comment has been added to their exception, and
- a new comment has been added to an exception that they have previously commented on.
You can choose to enable it for your existing process through the Notifications screen in process settings.
Note: Notifications are not currently available when adding via a staging copy, or when promoting from one environment to another.
Notification setting going through change management
Notification settings within a process included in the change management process. This means you can toggle these settings in a staging copy when raising a change request and it gets approved by your colleague, those new settings will be applied to your production process.
Similarly, if you use Development environments, you can now promote these setting changes between sandbox, testing and production environments.
Note! That even though you can change the Notification settings in staging copies, no actual notifications will be sent from them.
