By default, Duco will age an exception based off the Run date when the exception first came into. However, you can customise the way that exceptions age, basing the ageing off a Calculated results field.
This allows you to link the break age to underlying information in your data - eg. the value date of a trade or the balance date of a cash movement.
To utilise this functionality it is first necessary to have a Calculated result field that populates with a date.
You can report the exception start date and time using an operator "The starting date and time of the exception". This means you can derive and extract useful information - such as the month the exception first appeared - for investigation and prioritisation.
This calculated result can then be selected from the Exception age drop-down found on the Exceptions workflow menu.
In subsequent runs of the process the Age column will now populate with a value that reflects the Calculated result field's value.
