As part of our ongoing efforts to give you the best possible experience with the Duco platform, we are moving more pages to the Streamlined User Interface and adding more useful information to those moved earlier!
Governance
Updated users page
We have now migrated the users page to our new, streamlined user interface. Thanks to the refreshed look, you have the ability to sort, filter, and pin columns. Additionally, you can quickly identify all suspended users or users who have not clicked on the confirmation email, thanks to the new columns added to the list.
New process creation page
Another refreshed view that is coming this release is the process creation page. After clicking on the '+ Create process' button, you will be redirected to the page where you can create a new blank process or use preconfigured templates (read more about it in our previous release notes!). On this page, you will be asked to populate only the mandatory fields, while all other non-mandatory fields (such as description box) can be found in the process general settings page.
Additional areas of the platform will be migrated in the coming months, so stay tuned!
Use Case field
Process names can vary widely, and it can be incredibly helpful to group processes by use case to be able to see what a process is actually doing. Particularly for people like new joiners, who may not know the nuance of process names and codes. In this release we’re introducing a new field to capture use case information. It will be mandatory whenever you create a new process, and in the future you will be able to search and report on processes by their use case.
A full list of all use cases with descriptions can be found here. You don’t need to populate this information for existing processes, but if you would like to, you can find it in the process general settings page.
Reconciliations
Connected processes in New UI
Our new Exceptions Management user interface has now been upgraded to include support for connected processes! You can finally use this powerful functionality in our new UI, enabling you to both set up and view parent and child connected processes as you’ve been able to do in the older version of the user interface.
The overview page of the parent connected process will effectively display which child processes it’s connected to:
The run results page has been enhanced to enable both clear visibility and easy cell navigation to connected child cells - using tooltips, progress bars and delta icons to help highlight any differences that are found and facilitate explanation through the child process cells:
Record history now shows workflow rule-generated labels and comments
Further efforts are underway to ensure you are efficiently able to perform all your actions from the older user interface in the new upgraded one, and more! Another example of this is in the record history - where you can now clearly see details of any labels and/or comments that were applied to it via one or more workflow rules, giving you an even more complete picture of your results, and providing a better audit history.
Data Prep
Look up reference data with multiple keys
Reference data tables are very useful when transforming and enriching your data in Data Prep. You can now use multiple lookup keys in NRL rules in Data Prep to handle more complex scenarios, in line with the capability in recon processes.
Feature removal
Labels gadget on Dashboards removed
As per communications earlier this year, this month we are bringing you a more streamlined Dashboard view which excludes the performance-impacting Labels widget! This will help you focus on the remaining information in the Dashboard section, and access any label-relevant information directly within the process/run that it relates to!
Please note that you will still be able to use the labels as usual and they will also be available in the Data Platform for reporting.
Fixed bugs
Issue Addressed | Description |
Data Prep could not process reference data tables with values longer than 4096 characters. | When a Data Prep NRL rule uses a reference data table with values longer than 4096 characters, it resulted in processing errors. |
Inability to add comments to records that were duplicates or filtered, posing a lack of functionality versus other records where these actions could be taken. | Fix implemented to enable comments to be added and displayed on the record detail for all records including filtered and duplicated ones. |
Breaking fields, Labels and Data Used widgets were showing empty in cases where there was no applicable data to show. | Now there is a clear message stating that there is no relevant data to show for each of these widgets. |
Previous filter to show only records that do not contain roll-ups was including roll-ups as part of the result. | The filter has been amended such that it will only display rolled up records when filtering by records that "are roll-ups", and will exclude these when filtering by records that "are not roll-ups". |
There was an issue whereby the results were not correctly showing records that meet a date and time filter set in the relevant column filters. | This has now been fixed so the appropriate records are displayed that meet the filtering criteria. |
There was a description missing on the screen where the user is notified of a run submission window being missed. It should include a link to the last successful run and a link to contact support. | This has now been amended so that the screen in the new UI displays the same message with links as in the old UI. |
Inconsistency found between comments added and displayed in the UI versus what is visible in Excel export when the matching records change between runs. | Fix implemented to change the way exports display comments, thus ensuring all relevant comments are included in Excel, Avro and XML exports. |
Inaccurate "export complete" notification displayed for in-progress exports when switching between runs. | Issue fixed so that the notification for "export complete" only displays when the export is genuinely complete. |
The correct data prep process name was not being displayed in the New UI. | This was amended to display the correct data prep process name as in the old UI. |
Inability to "run process" for masked processes even after unmasking, due to the button being greyed out in the new UI. | Fix put in place to enable execution of runs for masked processes using the new UI. |
Comments were missing for matched and excluded records, as well as legacy workflow data in XML exports. | The discrepancy between XLSX and XML exports was fixed so that comments are now displayed for all the data where it was missing previously. |
"Site unavailable" error displayed when attempting to download Excel export due to incorrect URL. | Fix implemented to fix the URL and allow Excel to be downloaded on the browser. |
Comments not appearing in the Excel export when selecting "Export current view as Excel" for partial match constituents that are newly matching to previous partial matches with comments. | Fix implemented to address the identified bug, thus ensuring all relevant comments are included in Excel, Avro and XML exports. |
Unexpected error thrown on screen when user tries to navigate between different connected processes from the run details in the Overview screen. | This was amended so that a user can easily and successfully navigate to/between different connected processes, with no errors. |
