The first release of the year brings you enhancements that will make it even easier to use the Data Prep module.
We would also like to remind you that we are sunsetting a couple of old features, as announced in August.
Data Prep
Stronger audit control with downloadable process configurations
To provide you with the best auditability, you can now download the process configurations used to produce a particular snapshot. This will be available to all snapshots created after this release.
Whether you are asked to demonstrate the transformation rules used in your business process as part of regular audit, or need to investigate what filter rules were enabled that caused some unexpected exceptions downstream, simply download it from the UI and share the details internally or with your auditors.
Usability improvements
Better navigation within a process
The menu items in a Data Prep process have been reorganised to make it easier to go between different screens. The horizontal menu now focuses on actions you can take on the particular screen you’re on, while all other menu items are now on the left hand side, collapsible vertical menu. This applies to both the main process screens and settings.
Avoid accidentally losing work-in-progress rules
We want to make sure all of the work you put into creating rules does not get lost by accident. So now the rule window will no longer close itself when you click outside of it. This applies to the Map and transform rules and Filter rules.
Automatic extracting of balance rows
When you choose MT940 or MT950 as your new data input format, the option to extract balance rows separately will now be enabled automatically, avoiding the scenarios where users forgot to enable and spent time troubleshooting.
Notice on feature removal
As we have mentioned previously, we are sunsetting some outdated features. We are planning to remove the following functionality within a couple of next months:
- Cases
- Reports
- API versions 1 & 2
We have decided to give our customers a bit more time to prepare for the change to Manual actions without Exception Workflow enabled. We will be sending further notifications before the change takes effect.
If you’re still using the features listed above, you can find out exactly what’s changing and how you can use Duco’s upgraded functionality to perform the same tasks more effectively in this Help Centre article.
Additionally, you can check out our Duco Academy session that will give you an in-depth walkthrough of the changes. You can check this and other upcoming classes here.
Your Customer Success Manager will be happy to support you if you need help adopting the newer features.
Run details API change
With next month's release we will introduce changes to the response schema of the Run details API, version 3.
We will be removing 3 fields: expired_a_count, expired_b_count and expired_count.
Please make sure to update any systems that may be dependent on these fields. This change will take effect in a month, in the next scheduled release.

Description |
Empty export file while exporting the current view from a two-sided reconciliation. |
The users were receiving an empty excel export file when downloading the current view, filtered by labels. |
A reconciliation run is failing with a generic error message. |
In cases when a reconciliation is using data from Data Prep and that process has more columns than a two-sided process can support, the run will fail. The error message was improved to indicate the failure cause in such situations. |
Reconciliation run is failing when a value in one of the fields has more than 128 characters. |
In cases of a specific process configuration, the system was not able to track the values of more than 128 characters in one field properly and was failing the runs. |
Duco created a duplicate transaction in a Cash process. |
In a Cash process an exception got duplicated when a user clicked split a transaction a couple of times in a very short period of time. |
Duplicated submissions in a Cash process. |
In some cases the system was capturing files loaded via SFTP twice, which was creating a duplicated submission and caused delays in processing. |
Discrepancy between the Cash Accounts overview page and the excel export of the Accounts overview. |
In some cases there was a discrepancy of the Cash accounts proof values between the data shown in the UI and the data in the exported excel file. |
Inconsistent count of records in the Ungrouped bucket in a Cash process. | In some cases the system was showing an incorrect count of transactions in an Ungrouped bucket on the results page in a Cash process. |
Delays in submissions processing in Data Prep. |
Some clients were seeing submissions getting stuck in Pending state in Data Prep processes. We have improved the system's performance which will eliminate this issue. |
Missing information in the Audit log export file. |
The Staging Copy process name was missing in the Audit log export file. |
