In this November release, we’re bringing you new CFTC controls, an automated categorisation of documents in Data Prep, clearer process status overviews, faster record search in Cash, submission deadline notifications with instance details, and enhanced integrated configuration deployment.
Solutions
Enhanced CFTC reporting
As part of our CFTC solution, we’ve built a best-practice, preconfigured process aligned with required Technical Specifications, supporting both DTCC XML and CSV submissions for phase 2 of CFTC Rewrite. These preconfigured processes, maintained by Duco, reduce implementation time and resource-intensive maintenance.
It includes:
- Two Data Prep “sub-processes” to ingest and normalise internal data and the trade repository file.
- A reconciliation “sub-process” to identify breaks between internal data and the trade repository file.
Simply load your internal data and transform it in the platform to meet XML schema standards. For XML files, everything is pre-mapped and preconfigured, except for custom fields. We handle the updates, so there are no rebuilds needed from your side.
Additionally, the solution also offers operational dashboards for improved oversight and easier exception management, along with support from our expert Professional Services team for scoping, custom configuration, mapping, and optimisation once the process is running.
If you have to do CFTC reporting reconciliations, please reach out to your customer success representative to learn more.
Ingestion
Automatically categorise and organise documents with intelligent classification
We’re excited to introduce a new enhancement to Duco’s Data Prep solution: Document Classification. This feature leverages advanced machine learning to automatically identify, categorise, and organise a wide range of documents like invoices, contracts or statements, within an AIDP project based on content, seamlessly assigning each to the appropriate document type.
Reconciliation
Better overview on process statuses in one glance
In line with our commitment to enhancing your daily workflow, we’ve made key updates to the Processes screen, offering you more actionable insights to help you prioritise your time effectively:
- Streamlined main view to display essential information at a glance.
- Quick filters to show only your favourite processes or those created with our preconfigured templates or by process type.
- Default grouping for template-based processes, making them easy to locate and manage.
Finding records by the latest added comment in Cash processes
You can now filter and search by the latest added comment in Cash processes. Search by keyword to quickly and easily find results that have similar comments for faster labelling, assigning or review. More details of how it works can be found here.
Identify discrepancies and filter details with constituent search
This search capability plays a key role in reconciliation processes, aiding in tasks like identifying discrepancies and filtering specific details. With flexible filters, multi-fields search and the ability to apply and refine filters, you can continue to drill down into your reconciliation results. The constituent search supports users in:
- Identifying specific elements within complex matches.
- Applying granular filters, making it easier to trace and reconcile specific transactions.
- Facilitating auditing by enabling quick identification of discrepancies or matches within larger transaction records.
Governance
Improved notifications for missed submission deadline
We’ve now added the instance name to the notification sent when a submission deadline of a recon process has passed with no files submitted, making it easier to identify which instance the alert came from.
Making integrated configuration deployment simpler
We have received valuable feedback since we introduced the ability to promote processes and linked entities (e.g., user groups, labels). To enhance flexibility and better support a wide range of scenarios, we’ve made a few improvements:
- If a group is deleted in the target environment and a package being promoted links to a group with the same name, the package can now be approved. The system will then automatically recreate that group but it won’t link to the deleted one. You will need to add users to it like any other new group.
- In cases where entities (e.g., reference data tables, groups, labels, submission routes) were created in the target environment automatically through a promoted package and then deleted by users, they will now be automatically recreated when another package that uses them is promoted and approved.
Fixed bugs
Issue Addressed | Description |
Processing with large files sometimes fails. | Processing sometimes fails due to the internal handling of large files, and users need to retry manually. |
Promoting a process sometimes fails because of invalid backup copy. | Backup staging copies are created automatically when a package is promoted. In some scenarios, the backup copy cannot be used because it's treated as invalid. |
Missing "Filtered by" column in the Data Prep excel export. | When exporting filtered results from a Data Prep process, column "Filtered by" was missing in the downloaded file. |
Degraded performance when promoting Data Prep process between environments. | In some scenarios where Data Prep transformation was using reference data tables, due to time out issues it was impossible to promote the process to a different environment. |
Limit actions on the connected processes. | Users will now receive a warning message when more than a hundred of records have been selected in a connected process. This is currently under review to increase volume. |
Format issues when processing .xlsx files. | Unable to process an .xlsx file. Despite specifying the worksheet and start row, users receive the error “Could not automatically detect data start row”. Even when a start row is manually entered, the file fails to process correctly, having no fields displayed. |
XML export can be re-run if a process fails. | Users are able to re-run export to excel if it encounters an error or fails. |
“Diff” section on the transactions table does not work after sorting. | When sorting or filtering by large quantities, some users experienced issues with loading the "Diff/SUM" feature on the results UI. |
Editing values on “Add transaction” in the statement page. | When attempting to edit a value in the "Add Transactions" mode for statements, the section creates an error preventing any values from being edited. |
Add warning that account import with override deletes all the data. | Re-highlighting warning that account import with override will delete all statements and transactions. Users will now receive a warning message when trying to do the import. |
