This August release brings you a set of usability improvements that will help you build processes and resolve exceptions even faster than before.
Ingestion
UX improvements in Data Prep
New design of submissions page
We've revamped the visual design of both the submissions and document status pages for a more polished user experience.
Enhanced processing notifications
We’ve added more UI notifications to keep you informed about the status of unstructured document processing. Users will now receive updates when the document status changes (e.g. from "Action Required" to "Processing"), providing greater transparency during manual submissions.
New document status tooltip
When hovering over the document status in Data Prep submissions, users will now see detailed explanations for each processing status.
Improved error handling
We've enhanced error handling for unstructured document processing. If a record fails to process, you’ll now see clear error messages, including the reason for the failure, the specific field name, and its value.
Reconciliation
Cash process
We’re introducing a number of new features that aim to improve your match rate and streamline exceptions management in your cash reconciliations. Check out the details in the links below:
- Proposed Auto-matching
- Conditional amount tolerances
- Maker/Checker for manual matching
- Statement Handling improvements
UI enhancements
Link to reference data table from Rules and rule sets settings page
Users can now easily access links to newly created reference data tables directly from the Rules and rule sets settings page in the reconciliations.
Calculated results settings page improvement
We have added "Expand all" and "Collapse all" buttons to the calculated results list and workflow rules sections. These buttons allow the users to quickly expand or collapse all items in the list, making it easier to review and manage multiple entries efficiently.
Hover over long comments to see the full text
A usability enhancement has been implemented for comments with extensive text. Previously, long comments were difficult to read without expanding the column width. With the new update, hovering over the comment will now display the full text in a tooltip, making it easier to read lengthy comments without adjusting the column size.
Results filtering improvements
The filtering functionality has been enhanced to improve usability, particularly when working with columns that contain more than 25 unique values. Key improvements include:
Select all functionality
- Selecting the "Select all" checkbox now selects all available filter values.Deselecting any value after "Select all" is selected will render the "Select all" checkbox in an indeterminate state.
- Clicking "Select all" again will deselect all values. If "Select all" is selected without any items being deselected, no filter is applied.
- If some items are deselected, only the selected items will be returned in the results.
Notification for additional values
In columns with more than 25 unique values, a message will notify users that additional options are available for filtering.
Acceptance criteria
When a column contains more than 25 unique values (e.g. 100), selecting "Select all" and then deselecting a couple of values will return the remaining values (e.g., 98). The filter behaviour will consistently reflect the current selection across all UI interactions.
Filter by process on accounts page
Previously, users were limited to filtering by one of the first 25 processes listed alphabetically. Now, the filter by values list displays only the process name, excluding the process code for simplicity.
Additionally, a search box has been added above the list, enabling users to perform a prefix search by typing the process name. This allows users to easily filter and select processes outside the initial 25 alphabetically ordered options. Note that filtering is based on the process name, not the process code.
Governance
Improved email notifications with environment names
We are pleased to announce an improvement made to emails sent by the Duco platform to users. You will now see the Duco environment name on email subjects and the URL from which notifications originate from. This enhancement aims to reduce confusion and streamline your process by saving time previously spent identifying the source of emails.
Fixed bugs
Issue Addressed | Description |
Difficulties in editing group description due to long text. | The Edit button became invisible if the description was too long. This was fixed by limiting the field to 255 characters. |
Allowing blank names in inputs. | Resolved an issue where we allowed blank values in fields (such as groups or process names). This was possible when the user pressed the spacebar. |
Unable to raise change request for Data Prep process | Fixed an issue where in some rare cases where the use case field was not populated, the user was unable to create process change requests in a Data Prep process. |
Allowing users to resolve unstructured documents if a submission was deleted. | For unstructured data submission which was deleted, the user was able to use the "Action required" link and resolve document issues. |
Unable to promote Data Prep staging copy to parent configuration. | Resolved a problem where the user was not able to promote staging copy configuration of Data Prep process when a data input containing filter rules was removed from data input configuration. |
Preparation of filtering & sorting view in Data Prep looping indefinitely. | In some rare cases a results view with filtering & sorting was not loading properly for a user. |
Breaking fields link to filtered breaks in reconciliation results. | Users are now correctly redirected to the "All items" bucket with filtered views applied by breaks in the appropriate column, ensuring consistent functionality across both old and new UIs. |
Enhanced change control information. | Users are correctly redirected to create staging copies when trying to implement configuration changes on processes with change control enabled. |
Record history view displays UTC dates and times. | We have updated the record history timestamps to reflect local times of the users to support audit and compliance checks. |
Error message update for unsupported file input. | Error message persisted after changing a generic data input with an unsupported file to a Data Prep process. The error message now correctly disappears after file and input are corrected. |
Delete buttons appear incorrectly in masked data inputs. | Fixed an issue where "Delete" buttons were incorrectly displayed in data inputs of masked processes after replacing an input with a Data Prep process. The buttons are now hidden as expected, ensuring smooth process runs. |
Duplicate statements created when the sequence number is empty. | Previously two separate statements were incorrectly created when submitting fixed format files (e.g. MTxxx, CAMT) with an empty sequence number field. Now, a single statement is generated that includes both balances and transactions as expected. |
Can't enter '0' at the start of rules-based tolerance field. | You can now apply conditional tolerances in cash multi pass below the value of 1 for both % and absolute value. |
Please note: all the changes above will be rolled out gradually to our clients. Reach out to your Duco account manager for more details.
